Don Javier Diaz, director of the MIT School, was invited on July 3 to the breakfast briefing of the Smarter Cities Challenge project that took place at the Ritz in Madrid. The meeting was promoted by Foro de la Nueva Ciudad, organized by Nueva Economía Fórum and sponsored by Aqualogy.
The keynote speaker was the president of IBM Spain, Juan Antonio Zufiria, while the Mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, was on hand to present the event. By participating on it, the MIT emphasizes the importance of technological innovation and smart improvement of the cities. Especially now that the school, as an elected member of the Smarter Cities platform, will be a cornerstone of this development over the next three years that lasts the project.
