El equipo del MIT ganador de la Copa a la Motivación en el FTC

The first celebration of the First Tech Challenge in Spain has been more than exciting for the MIT team! For starters, the team, made up of students of 4th ESO and Bachillerato, was by far the youngest of the contest, in which participated students of engineering from universities in Russia, United States, Netherlands and Spain. As a result, the team soon gained the interest and friendliness of the organization and of the other groups, whose techniques, tools and materials were professional, unlike the ones of the MIT.

However, that was not the biggest problem faced by our students: on Saturday around 20:00 pm, just half a day before presenting their project to the contest, the jury ruled that they could not participate because his robot measured an extra inch. But, instead of being discouraged, the members of our team begin to complete a new robot!

In this way, they got the tools they needed, and, at 4:00 am, they managed to finish his new creation, which, as it turned out the next morning, had exactly the right measure. The organization and the other participants could not leave his astonishment, for they could hardly believe that the youngest team had managed to create a robot from scratch in just one night.

Of course, the team won the Motivation Trophee, which becomes even more important if one takes into account the low number of trophies that were delivered. The victory went to the second-year students of theEscuela Politécnica Superior de Mondragon Unibertsitatea in Diseño en Fabricación Mecánica y Sistemas Electrotécnicos y Automatizados, which, together with a team from Russia, won the first place.

The School is more than proud of its students, who showed once again that they know how to solve problems together and whose effort, courage and dedication are beyond doubt. Congratulations!
