Christian Tissier, godfather of aikido at MIT School and director of the activities carried out in the dojo of the school, besides being mentor of Antonio Quero, teacher of this discipline at the school, has just been promoted, and is now just a place away from the highest degree on the scale of aikido, 9th Dan or Masters

Thus, Tissier now holds the title of 8th Dan, an honorary title received from the hands of the greatest exponent of aikido in the world, Moriteru Ueshiba, grandson of the founder of this discipline, Morihei Ueshiba, at the Hombu Dojo in Japan.

With this category, he also enters a very little circle of practitioners of aikido at the highest level worldwide, and is set as the first Western worthy of this distinction.

We are very proud to have Tissier as part of our school community! Congratulations, Master!
