The Mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, along with representatives of the BIC Euronova companies

Last week, Mr. Diaz, MIT School principal, attended the eighteenth edition of the Innovation Breakfast held at BIC Euronova, which was also attended by twenty other managers and the Mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre .

The managing director of the institution, Álvaro Simón, highlighted the work these companies are doing at the CEEI Málaga to focus on innovation and internationalization as keys to success. In fact, in most of these projects, the ICT sector is the leader, followed by engineering, consulting, energy, environment and biotechnology, among others.

On his behalf, Francisco de la Torre placed special emphasis on the advantages of Malaga in the business sector, showing pride in the power of entrepreneurship and innovation in the city. He also mentioned the recognition of Malaga in 2011 as Smart City and the achievement of the Club Malaga Valley, which has grown from a club to a brand with the purpose of turning Malaga in a global example. Finally, De la Torre pointed out that, in the coming months, a number of acceleration and internationalization projects are going to be launch in Málaga, opening “a promising future for the companies.”

In addition, the meeting was also attended by María del MarMartin Rojo, Councillor of Economy, Finance and Personnel of the City Council of Malaga and vice president of the Málaga CEEI BIC Euronova, and the council of the Innovation and New Technologies Area, Mario Cortés.
