The Leeds Castle

MIT School prepares a new journey of linguistic and cultural immersion with TravelEnglish, the company that will handle the details. This time, the chosen destination is the region of Kent, known as the “Garden of England” for its beautiful scenery, and located just 35 minutes away from Central London. Thanks to its privileged location, participants will have the opportunity to visit during their stay the cities of London, Brighton and Canterbury. Besides, the Kent area itself has a great historical legacy, in which underlines the Canterbury Cathedral, the Leeds, Dover and Rochester Castles or impressive natural sites such as The White Cliffs of Dover.

For two weeks, beginning on May 11, the MIT School Secondary students will stay with English families with long experience receiving international students. They will offer the visitors a safe and comfortable environment in which to develop their communication skills. Also, the students will attend class every morning at a high school in the area in the same uniform as their mates, and with the same rights and duties. To make more effective the inmersion in the English educational system, each pupil will be accompanied by a local student of similar age with whom she or he will share every class.

The centers receiving the MIT School participants are St. AnselmsNoth Kent, ChaucerPent ValleyTowers Kent and Bartoncourt. All of them are situated in privileged locations, offer outstanding facilities and have excellent educational programs and a wide variety of extracurricular activities. We are looking forward for May to arrive to undertaking this new adventure!
