Alumnos del equipo Mitronics, de MIT School, durante el FTC 2013

Students of the MIT School’s Mitronics team, during the FLL 2013

A group of students of 4th ESO in MIT School won past weekend the ‘Best Robot’ award in the first phase of the 2013 First Lego League competition, held at the PTA’s central offices. Their intervention was remarkable because they achieved the difficult task of making their robot perform more than one mission in one go. The school teams, MIT Robotics and Mitronics, competed against four other teams from the province of Málaga.

The challenge this year, ‘Senior Solutions’, was to investigate the barriers faced by older people, as well as to find innovative solutions to improve their quality of life. To achieve that, students at MIT have created a scientific project -based on several visits to homes of the elderly- and then, they have designed a playground and a robot to interact on it, always under the coordination of Mr. Arias. Congratulations to all!
