Una de las profesoras de chino de MIT School durante la clase

One of the MIT School’s chinese teachers during a lesson

During the 15, 16 and 17 March, MIT School Chinese teachers and its Principal, Mr. Diaz, visited the Confucius Institute Central Office in Spain to attend a training course for teachers of Chinese. Here, as opening, Consuelo Marco, Professor at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid, gave the lecture ‘Chinese studies in Spain’, in which she emphasized their high dropout rate. These courses are always taught in school hours as opposed to inclusion in the compulsory curriculum as in MIT.

In fact, the commitment of MIT School with Mandarin is such that it has become home to the Chinese official examinations, that in June will be taken by the school students and applicants who wish. In this regard, Mr. Diaz was able to exchange views with Chinese Embassy officials, and representatives of the Ministry of Education.
