One of the premises on which MIT School’s philosophy settles is to give practical training for their students, so that they reach the job market  with truly useful tools and knowledge. Therefore, the highschool classes participated in a conference in ESIC Business & Marketing School in which the goal was to simulate the creation of a company.

To do this, they were offered a very interesting lecture about the process of starting a business from the point of view of marketing, in which education was given an outstanding importance, as well as the business idea. After a great breakfast, the speech focused on the so-called strategy of marketing mix or 4P: product, price, placement and promotion.

But, undoubtedly, the most exciting moment was the case study: divided into groups, the students were asked to develop a marketing strategy for a product that has stalled sales, the famous Barbie. Each group developed their idea for about an hour and then exposed to the other attendees. The ideas were quite interesting and the teamwork, which joined students of both courses, resulted in a great experience. The School is looking forward to repeating it!
