Jessica Moreno, Antonio García y María Torres show their prizes in the Championships

Spain has won the Gold at the Junior and Cadet World Championships for the first time ever! And the MIT School student Jessica Moreno has been the one to achieve this along with her Kata team, demonstrating her high level. We are very, very happy and proud ! Congratulations !

Her mates were not far behind: Antonio García won the Silver medal in the Junior Kata category after beating the former European champion and all the favorites, making the entire pavilion stand up with his great deeds. And he also finished as runner-up in the team competition!

And as if that were not enough, the young María Torres won convincingly the individual Bronze in the kumite mode, making history along with her MIT School mates. As she tells to Diario Sur, “it’s indescribable how it feels when you win a medal at a World Championships”. The school shares the exultant joy of the three winners, who have demonstrated once again that effort and tenacity have its deserved reward!
