Solidarity with those people, especially children, who do not have the same opportunities as us, is one of the values we transmit to our students at MT School. That is why when the NGO Save the children proposed us in the Kilometers of Solidarity race, we did not doubt it for a moment.

Now, this organization has awarded our school as “Solidarity childhood center”, a recognition that was materialized in a simple act in which the 2,400 euros we collected on the day of the race were also delivered.

Kilometers of solidarity is much more than a sports activity, since it allows working to defend and promote the Rights of Children inside and outside the classroom. Each kilometer counts to reach the goal: to ensure that all the children of the world are assured of the fulfillment of their rights. It is about raising awareness and raising funds to defend the rights of other children in a more vulnerable situation.

This year, the 14th edition of the race was dedicated to Sudan, where drought and conflicts have left more than 1.4 million children at risk of starvation. Situation that could be replicated in Somalia, Nigeria and Yemen.

Many thanks to our students, who are always willing to join with enthusiasm these initiatives, and to their families for their generous collaboration.
