Campeonato del Mundo Universitario de Karate

We interrupt the holidays again, this time to communicate you some great piece of news: Our students have excelled again in the World University Championships of Karate!

In the competition, held in Braga (Portugal) from the 9th to 14th this month, the male kata team in which the MIT alumnus Antonio García participated won the bronze, winning by 5-0 to Mexico.

On the other hand, the national female kata team won the championship by beating Portugal in the final by a tight 3-2. The former students Margarita Morata and Jessica Moreno were part of this formation.

With these results, and thanks in part to our athletes, Spain continues to lead the world karate panel along with great powers like Japan, France, Egypt, Turkey, the United States, Mexico or the United Kingdom. Congratulations, champions!
