Stephane Goffín hace entrega de su cartilla a una alumna de MIT School

Stephane Goffín delivers an Aikido record book to a MIT School student

Aikido is a system derived from the martial traditions of Japan, based on communication and creativity. It gives paramount importance to the spiritual development of the individual and to the social responsibility, as it proposes nothing less than a way of settling disputes by eradicating violence. That is why MIT School students practice it weekly as part of the compulsory school curriculum, and at the end of the course, they collect the fruits of their labor in the form of physical and mental wellbeing.

However, Aikido is also a challenging sport, in which each individual can outdo himself each time, improving his category (Belt). In this context, MIT School students received their Aikido record books and diplomas last week, which validate their progress and achievements on this martial art. Stephane Gofínn, 6º Dan Aikikai in Tokyo and technical director of Aikido at MIT School, was the one who delivered them at the solemn ceremony, in which there was also room for laughs and excitement. Congratulations to everybody!
