A business environment in Second Life

A business environment in Second Life

The  Asociación Internacional de Parques Tecnológicos (IASP) held last September 28th the seminar ‘The road to entrepreneurship: starting in virtual reality – EMUVE island‘, an event that A level students from MIT School were invited to participate in, in order to experience at first hand the current processes of innovation in the business world.

The final results of the European project EMUVE (Entrepreneur Multi-User Virtual Environment) were the main point of the meeting. The project involved the development of a business environment in the virtual world of Second Life, designed to increase the business skills of users and its knowledge in marketing, business, finance, innovation, project management and internationalization.

In line with this study, topics on entrepreneurship and business culture arose together with the debate of new challenges and methodologies in the training of entrepreneurs. At the end of the event, the students received a certificate of attendance that is already part of their resume.
